Costa Rica offers underwater exploration ranging from beautiful coral reefs to their own offshore islands. The different types of fish and other marine life that can be seen during a dive will bring divers back to revisit this beautiful destination. Dives are normally done from boats since most of the good dive sites lay between rock formations and islands. Diving on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica will give a diver a beautiful reef that has 35 varieties of coral. A diver will find examples of the giant elkhorn coral and even have the opportunity for exploring two shipwrecks. The shipwrecks are easy to explore since they are not in very deep water.
Procession of the Miracles Costa Rica Mary La Negrita
Last year at the end of December and first part of January Justin DeBoom set up a fishing package for our group of 4. We have fished before with Justin taking care of everything all we had to do is show up in the morning and get on the boat. My cousin who had never been deep sea fishing caught the first blue marlin for the season on the boat we were on, Great first day and everyone caught a sailfish, Mahi-Mahi were mixed in with the sailfish and it turned out to be a great day. On our 2nd outing Justin asked our captain to get us to where the tuna were and we were surrounded by dolphins and tuna. We caught what we wanted and went after Mahi-Mahi. After catching all of the Mahi-Mahi we wanted we instructed our captain to take us to the Tortuga island to play in the sand. It was great to have someone like Justin who lives in the area and knows the captains of the boats in the harbor has a realistic of what his customers expect when they come to fish.
Semana Santa: An Insider's Look at Costa Rica's Spring Break
A large part of the population identifies with the Catholic Church, and so share most religious holidays, but many of their traditions and celebrations are unique to Costa Rica. It is not uncommon to see street parties with music and dancing in local towns across the country. Just be sure to head outside when the clock strikes midnight. Lasting two weeks, the Fiestas of Palmares is the longest party of the year and the largest of the typical fiestas. Think of it as a Costa Rican Octoberfest.
